Recording VTC Sessions

Regarding the concern of recording VTC sessions in case a student misses a class:

"Because of the many issues, some legal and some technical, the IEN has opted to leave that up to the schools, universities and content providers to decide how to best handle recording classes. Idaho State University and College of Southern Idaho will both have that capability as they see it as a differentiator for their services and classes from their peers."
-Communications Director, IEN

On that note, if you are broadcasting or receiving a class and know a student is missing, you can decide between yourself and the other teacher whether to record the session.  There is an RCA jack capability on the back of the Codec that can accommodate a VCR.  Although recording content from a 3rd party provider without their prior approval is considered copyright infringement of intellectual property.
